George Hierro is a singer-songwriter, producer, and musician originally from Miami, Florida. He writes and produces music out of his home studio on the beautiful island of Okinawa, Japan, where he enjoys freedive spearfishing and surfing its warm, clear waters.

The son of Cuban refugees, he developed a love for reggae music while traveling the Caribbean as a child. Growing up in the diverse, culturally rich state of Florida, he was also exposed to a wide-variety of music genres ranging from Classic Rock to Hip Hop and continues to draw inspiration from many kinds of music.

He began studying classical piano and guitar at an early age, and during the early 2000s, he played guitar, keys, and sang in a reggae/rock band out of Orlando, Florida.

After moving to San Clemente, California in 2008, he played frequent gigs across the state, interrupted occasionally by his service with the U.S. Marine Corps in both the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. These experiences remain a tremendous influence on his songwriting today.

Searching for more opportunities to discover new places and learn more about the world we live in, he eventually attended graduate school where he studied the Indonesian language and culture, and traveled extensively with his wife, Ana Maria, across Southeast Asia for a full year. He cites spearfishing, surfing, and making lifelong friends on the islands of Sulawesi, Bali, Java, and Sumatra as one of the most memorable and meaningful experiences of his life.

George covers songs of all genres which he plays live and posts to his YouTube Channel, but focuses his original work primarily on reggae and indie rock.
